Black Lives Matter Manchester and Black Lives Matter Nashua are teaming up to provide utility assistance and relief to BIPOC in New Hampshire.
This fund will disperse up to $5,000 in relief to BIPOC and their families in need. Once our goal of $5,000 is met, we will reassess our funding and continue to provide additional resources and support where applicable. Covered utilities include one month of gas, water, heating, electric or wifi. We are only able to provide funds for one utility bill per applicant at this time.
While more Black students are attending college, educational inequalities are consistently affecting Black communities. On average, Black students graduate with significantly more debt than their white peers. The Black Lives Matter Nashua Achievement Scholarship was created to help support these students by relieving some of this financial burden.
Interested applicants will be required to write a 300-500 word essay explaining a time they faced adversity and how they overcame/plan to overcome it.
